Blackstone Country Club, located in Peoria, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Position Summary:
Blackstone Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Servers to provide exceptional dining experiences for our members and their guests. The Server is responsible for delivering attentive, personalized service while maintaining the high standards of professionalism and excellence expected in a private country club environment. Successful candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and committed to creating memorable experiences through outstanding food and beverage service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests promptly with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the club's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
- Anticipate member needs by providing attentive, personalized service throughout the dining experience.
- Monitor tables to refill beverages, clear used dishes, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Handle member requests, concerns, and special dietary needs with professionalism and urgency.
- Prepare dining areas before service, including setting tables, stocking service stations, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Complete opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
- Assist with private events, banquets, golf tournaments, weddings, and special club functions.
- Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, food safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Support fellow team members to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional member experience.
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience preferred; private club, fine dining, or upscale hospitality experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain) as required by state or local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Work Environment
This position works in a professional private country club setting where outstanding hospitality, attention to detail, and personalized member service are the foundation of every interaction. Servers are expected to represent Blackstone Country Club with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
