Overview

Talis Park Golf Club is an private 18 hole private facility owned by Kitson & Partners. The golf course was designed by Greg Norman and Pete Dye. Total re-grassing of the golf course in 2023.

Experience Required

• Member or Apprentice of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
• Working knowledge of a private golf course operations and practices.
• Previous Private Golf club experience is a plus.
• 2 years golf industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Golf Genius, Foretees and Jonas is a plus.
• High school graduate or equivalent is required.

Essential Responsibilities

This position is responsible for all aspects of the golf operation. The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professionial with all golf shop activities and outside service operations to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service to all members and guests of the facility.

• Under direction of the Director of Golf (DOG) and Head Professional (HP), responsible for daily operation of the Golf Shop and related golf course activities.
• Secures and protects the company assets, including facilities and equipment.
• Implements general policies established by the DOG and HP; directs their administration and execution.
• Under the direction of the DOG and HP, can assist in supervising, training, and evaluating golf department personnel.
• Under the direction of the DOG and HP, assigns daily tasks and supervises work activities of the golf department personnel.
• Keeps accurate records as determined by DOG and HP.
• Reconciles daily and weekly golf round counts from tee sheets to those tabulated in the computer.
• Assists DOG and HP in merchandising, on-course and golf cart management responsibilities.
• Maintains Golf Shop inventory control system and assist in the monthly counting of inventory.
• Assists Members by providing and interpreting policies, rules and regulations.
• Maintains handicap records.
• Operates Golf Shop in absence of DOG and HP.
• Assists with other operational and administrative duties as determined by the DOG and HP.
• Must be able to open and close the golf shop and the POS system.
• Other duties as assigned.
