Overview:

Reliable Golf Services (RGS) is looking for a superintendent to manage the grounds maintenance at Square Links Golf Course in Frankfort, IL (Chicagoland). The Golf Course Superintendent will be entrusted with the management of the golf course and clubhouse grounds maintenance operations. They will work closely with facility management and report to the Regional Golf Manager. They will be responsible for the day-to-day conditioning of the course and proper training of associated staff. Square Links Golf Course is located in Frankfort, IL and is a 10-Hole par 32 course with a grass tee driving range equipped with Toptracer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and perform maintenance duties as necessary to maintain the golf course in proper playing conditions as set forth by management
• Effectively recruit and hire qualified candidates
• Plan and implement staffing schedules to coincide with facility golf schedule
• Responsible for the proper training of staff and operation of golf course equipment
• Direct various projects as they arise with efficiency and within budgetary constraints
• Maintain accurate record keeping and creating reports as needed
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws. As well as current OSHA rules and guidelines.
• Needs to possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ensure the maintenance building is properly organized and well maintained
• Create a positive work environment and resolve issues as they arise

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Superintendent is preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 2 years as an Assistant Superintendent preferred, but not required
• Possess a current Pesticide Applicators License or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment
• Possess a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
• Have exceptional problem solving skills
• The ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly, and on occasions 75lbs.
• The ability to diagnose and perform minor engine repairs are preferred, but not required
• The ability to set and adjust cutting units are preferred, but not required
