Overview

Live Oaks Golf Club opened in 1969, designed by architect John F. Stahl. We are an 18-hole, par 71

semi-private course sitting on 130 acres just northwest of Jackson. The course stretches just under 6,600 yards with gently rolling fairways through a parkland setting shaded by 200-year-old live oak trees. Live Oaks has undergone quite the transformation over the last six years with the creation of the Reed House, Top-5 in state wedding venues, renovation of our Roosevelt's restaurant and construction of our "Bunkhouse" which is one the most unique accommodations in state. Through these projects and future plans, Live Oaks is primed to become a premier destination for all golfers in and around Jackson.

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Pro Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our golf department and help lead this new chapter in Live Oaks history. This a unique opportunity to help set the direction for the club from the ground up. You'll be working alongside a PGA General Manager with over 15 year's experience and Public Merchandiser of the Year award winner. This position could grow into a Head Golf Professional role for candidates in the PGA PGM program.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
• Manage daily golf operations, including opening and closing of the Pro Shop
• Assist in the planning and execution of golf tournaments and club events
• Recruit, hire, and train new team members as needed
• Create training programs, operational standards, and manuals
• Generate weekly scheduling for all golf department team members
• Participate in our merchandising program which includes ordering, receiving, displaying, and inventory control
• Devise best practices to maximize merchandise sales
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times

Schedule

• 5-day work week in the off-season (November-February)
• Up to 6-day work week in season based on club calendar (March-October)
