Overview

Part-time role supporting both golf shop and outside service operations at Avon Fields Golf Course. The position focuses on guest service, check-in support, reservations, point-of-sale transactions, golf shop presentation, golf cart and equipment setup, pace of play support, and daily facility readiness in a hospitality-focused golf environment.

Experience Required

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be coachable and have basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of the game of golf preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform clerk/cashier duties.
• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests and help expedite the check-in process.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collect green fees, cart fees, and other revenue and process transactions in the POS system.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to the daily register at close of day.
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
• Assist with setup of equipment and golf carts.
• Perform Starter/Ranger duties.
• Welcome and greet guests and players in a friendly manner.
• Explain rules and course etiquette to groups if needed.
• Wash and sanitize the golf cart fleet and maintain organized storage areas and practice facility.
• Assist with the setup and organization of golf carts and equipment for regular tee time starts or outings.
• Facilitate an orderly and timely pace of play to prevent delays.
• Answer questions in a friendly manner.
• Keep records of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary.
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible.
• Collect and clean practice balls when scheduled.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the General Manager.
