Lake Monticello Golf Club, located in Palmyra, VA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Seasonal Course Ranger! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Course Ranger to join our team for the seasonal period. This role is responsible for patrolling the course during weekend afternoon hours, ensuring play flows smoothly, and enforcing course rules to maintain a positive experience for all guests.

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol the course on Saturdays and Sundays to monitor pace of play
• Ensure golfers are following all posted course rules and policies
• Address pace-of-play issues in a professional, courteous manner
• Provide assistance and basic information to players as needed
• Report rule violations, safety concerns, or course issues to management
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable course environment

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to enforce rules calmly, respectfully, and consistently
• Dependable and punctual, with availability every weekend afternoon
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
• Knowledge of golf etiquette and rules is preferred (but not required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk or ride the course for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
