Overview

Serves guests as an Outside Services attendant at Cape Royal Golf Club, supporting daily golf operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have a valid driver's license if driving golf carts or range equipment.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Organized and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer/guest orientation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable.
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.
• 2+ years' server experience preferred.
• Proven exemplary customer service skills.
• 2+ years' experience with a restaurant POS software platform preferred.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to work extended hours during golf and holiday season, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Start players on the first tee and explain the rules of play for the day.
• Maintain an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cue groups to move to the first tee and ensure only one group is on the tee at a time.
• Tour the golf course and assist players as needed to maintain the posted pace of play.
• Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Complete the golfer tracking report daily.
• Remind players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repair ball marks, collect trash on the course, and replace hazard stakes or directional signage.
• Communicate regularly with the Golf Shop and Starter.
• Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist golfers when needed.
• Report problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Provide information regarding the golf course, play time, and other golf-related inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service to arriving guests and expedite the check-in process.
• Verify revenues have been properly recorded through receipt inspection before starting a game.
• Keep golf shop personnel informed regarding pace of play from the first tee.
• Supply guests with scorecards, pencils, and other items as needed.
• Advise guests of course conditions and expected pace of play.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
