Description
OverviewThe Outside Services Attendant provides customer service to members and guests while supporting golf operations through bag handling, cart preparation, range operations, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. The role stages and stores golf carts, ensures they are clean and functional, and delivers golf-related services to help create a seamless experience for golfers.
Experience Required
- Preferred high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role or strong knowledge of golf.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff.
- Strong knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service.
- High attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to work primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, squat, kneel, reach, grasp, push, pull, twist, bend, and lift/carry up to 100 lbs.
- Availability to work additional hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist golfers by loading and unloading bags, preparing them for play, answering questions, offering golf course etiquette suggestions, and providing post-round support including cleaning clubs and delivering them to cars.
- Promote club events, course conditions, and relevant information to enhance the member and guest experience.
- Marshal carts in the staging area, assign them to players, track usage, clean and inspect carts, and report issues to the Golf Shop.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, storage areas, practice facilities, parking lot, and pro shop entrance.
- Set up and manage practice areas, ensuring they are stocked with equipment such as range balls and prepared for daily use.
- Collaborate with range attendants, marshals, starters, and other golf operations staff to ensure efficient service.
- Complete daily assignments in designated areas while maintaining club standards and keeping the Golf Shop organized and stocked.
- Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks assigned by management.
- Follow company, club, and department policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
- Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities to support club operations.
