Overview

Wyndemere Country Club is seeking an experienced and service-driven Outside Golf Operations Shift Leader to join our Golf Operations team. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of all outside golf services while delivering the exceptional standards expected at a premier private club.

The Shift Leader works alongside the professional golf staff to ensure a first-class member and guest experience from arrival through departure. This individual will lead, train, and motivate the outside operations team while maintaining the highest standards in service, presentation, efficiency, and attention to detail.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring professionalism, accountability, and the ability to lead by example.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in outside golf operations.
• Previous leadership or management experience supervising a golf operations staff is required.
• Private club experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of golf operations, member service, and daily golf facility operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and seasonal demands.

Essential Responsibilities

• lead the Outside Golf Operations staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate daily staffing assignments and ensure proper coverage throughout the operation.
• Deliver an exceptional arrival and departure experience for all members and guests.
• Ensure golf carts are cleaned, detailed, fully stocked, and staged to club standards.
• Oversee bag storage, club transportation, and club cleaning services.
• Maintain driving range operations including ball collection, washing, staging, and presentation.
• Ensure practice facilities remain fully stocked, clean, and organized throughout the day.
• Monitor pace of play support by communicating with the Golf Professional staff.
• Train new employees on departmental service standards and operating procedures.
• Enforce departmental policies, appearance standards, and service expectations.
• Assist with member tournaments, club events, and outside golf events.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all outside golf areas, staging areas, bag rooms, and cart storage facilities.
• Communicate effectively with Golf Professionals, Golf Shop staff, Golf Course Maintenance, and other club departments.
• Address member requests promptly while anticipating needs before they arise.
• Open and close the outside operation as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf and Golf Professional staff.
