Overview

Mayacoo Lakes was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead in 1971, making Mayacoo Lakes one of the first courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. Soon after the club opened in 1972, Mayacoo Lakes was rated in the top 100 by Golf Digest-the first of many awards the Club would receive. In 2007, the golf course underwent a major renovation project, ultimately leading Mayacoo Lakes to win Golf Digest's "America's Best New Course-Best New Remodeled Category" Award in 2008. Mayacoo Lakes boasts over 300 members and prides itself on being a family-oriented country club. The Club has been a regular host to the PGA TOUR Monday Qualifier for the Honda Classic as well as a host site for U.S. Open Qualifiers, U.S. Amateur Qualifiers, and numerous FSGA events.

Mayacoo will be undergoing a full course renovation/restoration beginning March 29, 2027. Ideal candidate will be able to work from middle October through the end of March.

Essential Responsibilities

• This individual should have an outgoing personality and a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The individual must be able to quickly learn the operation and be able to communicate with all team members. The Outside Operations Staff works as a team to maintain the Valet/Bag Drop, Practice Facilities (range, putting green, shortgame area), Bag Room, and golf car fleet. All of these areas must be kept in exceptional condition on a daily basis. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to excellent customer service by exceeding member and guest needs and expectations on a daily basis.
  
  
  • Opening and Closing of The Outside Operations
  • Set up and oversight of Practice Facilities
  • Coordinating with Golf Shop Staff for daily functions
  • Managing Cart Fleet
  • Bag Room organization and cleanliness
  • Handling of all member and guest clubs and cleanliness of said clubs
  • Monitoring and maintaining the Practice Facility
  • Assisting in Tournament Operations
  • Washing and detailing cart fleet and parking fleet in orderly fashion in cart barn.
  • Ensure that bag drop, clubhouse, staging area/booth, parking lot, cart barn and cart wash areas are clean of trash and debris and all trash receptacles are kept orderly throughout the day and emptied at the completion of the day.
