Overview

Support gameday tailgate operations and help deliver an exceptional fan experience for University of Oklahoma home football games. This hands-on internship is suited for students interested in sports management, event operations, or hospitality, with required availability on home football gamedays, typically Friday and Saturday or Thursday and Friday for Friday games.

Experience Required

• Self-motivated and team oriented
• Energetic, outgoing personality
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in sports and/or a career in the sports industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Willingness to do manual labor and ability to lift 40 pounds
• Willingness to work all 7 University of Oklahoma home games and long hours

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage Oval public tailgate operations
• Interact with tailgaters to ensure a positive experience
• Support tailgaters unloading personal tailgate equipment
• Oversee event staff including access control, emergency response, and security
• Handle operational duties such as signage and equipment
• Collect and analyze key tailgate metrics
• Work with vendors to ensure quality service is provided
• Observe the fan experience and provide improvement ideas
• Perform other duties as assigned
