Description
OverviewABOUT CHAGRIN VALLEY ATHLETIC CLUB
Chagrin Falls, OH | The Chagrin Valley Athletic Club was founded in 1968 in a small-century home. At present, the CVAC compound covers 30 acres in Bainbridge Township. Our facilities are continually updated and have undergone extensive renovations over the next few years.
Even more than the 125,000 square feet of splendid facilities, the success of CVAC is based on people. We are blessed with staff who share management commitment to hospitality and service. And we are particularly proud of our membership.
CVAC members are an active, vibrant, diverse group who represent the unique area in which the Club is located. They find CVAC to be a convenient and comfortable gathering place for the entire family - in all seasons.
RACQUETS
With the Club's nine permanent indoor courts and ten outdoor tennis courts plus racquetball and pickleball tennis facilities, CVAC members enjoy racquet sports all year round and in any weather. A full staff of tennis professionals offers private and group instruction for all ages and skill levels. There are adult and junior clinics, social events, plus interclub leagues, CVAC leagues (intraclub) and United States Tennis Association (USTA) leagues.
AQUATICS
CVAC's twenty-five-meter indoor pool facilities offer members and their guests the opportunity to work out and relax - all year round. The state-of-the-art facility includes dedicated lap lanes for serious swimmers, as well as designated play areas for members of all ages to enjoy. The Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation (HVAC) system is the best available from Seresco, it is monitored 24 hours via the Internet. Ultraviolet light technology ensures the chloramines (makes your eyes and nose burn) are virtually eliminated.
FITNESS
From the gleaming mirrors of "The Studio" to the Cybex weight training equipment to the Sports Bar, the Fitness Center at CVAC is truly a sophisticated exercise facility.
CVAC members have a beautiful dance studio complete with a sound system that rivals downtown night clubs. There is an area dedicated to Hammer Strength plate loaded with free weight exercise equipment plus a boxing "corner." Members have treadmills and cardio
equipment complete with a TV theatre and a Cybex weight training circuit. Cybex is the choice of many professional athletes. The fitness center offers an indoor banked track (16 laps to the mile).
DINING
Regardless of which setting members choose they will enjoy comfortable surroundings, elegant fare and friendly service. The Grill Room is the perfect setting for family dining, impromptu lunch and relaxing dinner. Many members prefer this room because of its panoramic views of the gardens, vaulted ceiling and warm atmosphere.During the summer months the Veranda offers al fresco dining with great views of the lake, gazebo and tennis courts. The Formal Dining Room provides a more elegant dining experience. Adjacent to it the Club's 100-year-old Library. This setting is perfect for a private fireside dinner or elegant cocktail party.
Members and their guests can choose from extensive beverage options. They include local craft beer, wines from various regions and delicious cocktails. The Chef creates new menus weekly. "I look for fresh local ingredients, then create the menu, rather than creating the menu first then trying to find the ingredients." Gluten-free meals are available upon request. Plus, there is a children's menu for the little ones in your group.
