Lake Norman Golf Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Irrigation & Golf Course Maintenance Technician to join our Grounds team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of irrigation systems who also enjoys maintaining exceptional playing conditions on a premier golf course.

Experience Required

• Experience with golf course irrigation systems strongly preferred
• Golf course maintenance or turf management experience preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, sprinkler heads, and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable transportation
• Weekend availability required
• Valid driver's license required

Essential Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the golf course irrigation system
• Troubleshoot irrigation issues including valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, controllers, pumps, and leaks
• Make repairs and adjustments to ensure efficient water management
• Assist with irrigation scheduling based on weather conditions and course needs
• Monitor turf health and identify areas requiring irrigation adjustments
• Perform preventative maintenance on irrigation equipment

Golf Course Maintenance Duties

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and other turf areas
• Change cups, move tee markers, rake bunkers, and repair ball marks
• Operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with tournament setup and special events
• Complete landscaping projects including trimming, edging, pruning, and debris removal
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance facility
