OverviewLakeridge Golf Course is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking, and results-driven PGA Head Golf Professional to lead one of Northern Nevada's premier public golf facilities. Today's Head Golf Professional is more than an operations manager-they are a business leader, mentor, community ambassador, and strategist responsible for elevating the overall golf experience while driving growth and innovation.
We are looking for a leader who embraces change, challenges conventional thinking, and continually seeks new opportunities to improve operations, increase participation, and enhance the guest experience. The ideal candidate possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and is passionate about growing the game of golf through creative programming, technology, data-driven decision-making, and exceptional customer service.
A strong background in event planning and execution is essential. This individual should have proven experience organizing tournaments, corporate outings, charity events, leagues, and community golf programs from concept through completion. They understand that successful events are more than well-executed logistics-they create memorable experiences, strengthen community partnerships, generate repeat business, and enhance the reputation of the facility.
The successful candidate will use operational and financial data to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and make informed business decisions. They will balance daily operational excellence with long-term strategic planning while continually seeking ways to improve programs, merchandising, technology, staffing, and overall customer satisfaction.
Relationship building is equally important. This professional should be an outstanding communicator who develops meaningful relationships with golfers, staff, vendors, community organizations, and local businesses. They should foster an inclusive, welcoming environment where golfers of every age, background, and skill level feel valued and encouraged to return.

A leader who is excited to introduce new ideas, expand programming, develop community partnerships, increase revenue opportunities, and position Lakeridge Golf Course as a regional leader in golf, hospitality, tournaments, and special events. Experience Required
- Class A PGA Professional in good standing (required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive golf operations experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of tournament management software and golf point-of-sale systems specifically experience with Golf Genius.
- Experience with merchandising, inventory control, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven success increasing participation and golf shop revenue.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Outstanding customer service and hospitality mindset.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
- Financial and business management knowledge.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for growing the game of golf and creating memorable guest experiences.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the golf shop and golf operations department.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate assistant professionals, outside services staff, starters, and marshals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to members, guests, and tournament participants.
- Organize, promote, and conduct tournaments, leagues, outings, and special golf events.
- Manage tee sheet operations to maximize play while maintaining pace of play and customer satisfaction.
- Develop merchandising strategies, purchase inventory, and maintain profitable golf shop operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate vendor relationships.
- Prepare annual operating budgets and manage departmental expenses.
- Maintain accurate financial reporting, daily reconciliation, and point-of-sale operations.
- Work collaboratively with course maintenance, food and beverage, and facility management to ensure seamless operations.
- Enforce USGA Rules of Golf and course policies professionally and consistently.
- Assist with strategic planning to increase rounds, revenue, memberships, and player engagement.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and tournament schedules.
