Overview

Rock Barn Country Club and Spa is seeking a Head Golf Professional to join its Professional Staff.

The position will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons/clinics, and providing other professional services to ensure exceptional golf experience. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated and detail oriented individual able to work in a multi-faceted team environment.

Rock Barn Country Club and Spa is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Conover, NC, and features 36 holes of award-winning golf. The Robert Trent Jones, Jr course, a recipient for multiple awards played host The PGA Champions Tour from 2003 till 2014. The Tom Jackson course also a recipient of multiple awards was most recently recognized by Golf Digest as "Best place you can play in North Carolina."

Experience Required

• Class A member of PGA/LPGA
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems (Jonas a bonus)
• Experience with Golf Genius Tournament Software

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversees golf operations including tournaments, rules, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, driving range operations, pro shop operations, player service operations, cart fleet
• Creates a customer service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets the needs of the membership and guests. Ensures that all associates provide a high level of customer service.
• Works closely with the Director of Golf and all Department Heads on a daily basis to ensure timely communication and to establish a unified team to provide excellent customer service.
• Marketing of Golf Course and Tournaments within the community to promote increased participation.
• Prepares work schedules and assigns associates areas of responsibility.
• Provide golf instruction through lessons and clinics to members and guests.
• Assures that effective orientation and training are given to all new associates.
