Forsgate Country Club is a 36-Hole Private Country Club. The historic Banks Course, a masterpiece by Charles H. Banks-one of America's most revered "Golden Age" architects. Celebrated as an architectural gem, this traditional layout pays homage to legendary Scottish links while showcasing Banks' signature steep, dramatic greenside bunkers. Consistently ranked among Golf Digest's "Best in State" for New Jersey, the Banks Course offers a classic and challenging experience. Rated in the top 50 Golf Courses in the Metropolitan Area, as well as the top 200 Classic designs Golfweek's list 2026.

The scenic Palmer Course, featuring holes designed by golf icon Arnold Palmer, presents a more modern challenge with water hazards on 10 holes. Designed for playability and fun, it's a favorite among golfers of all skill levels.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will posses the ability to lead a Golf Operation for the 36-Hole facility.

Class A Professional status a must

Head Professional experience a plus but not required.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

• Direct and supervise all golf operations
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate golf staff
• Foster a positive, professional, and service-oriented culture
• Lead assistant golf professionals, starters, rangers, and outside services personnel

Golf Operations:

• Oversee daily golf course play and tee sheet management
• Coordinate tournaments, leagues, and special golf events
• Monitor and improve the overall golf experience for members and guests

Tournament and Event Management:

• Plan, organize, and execute tournaments and competitive events
• Coordinate event logistics, registration, pairings and awards
• Communicate event information to participants in a timely manner

Retail and Merchandise Management:

• Manage golf shop operations
• Select, purchase, price, and display merchandise
• Monitor monthly inventory levels and control stock

Member and Guest Relations:

• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Be visible to the members and guests
• Promote member engagement and satisfaction
• Play golf with the membership and promote the facility in allied Section events (NJPGA, MET & NJ Golf)
• Represent yourself and the club professionally at all times
