Overview

The Country Club at Mirasol is looking for a Golf Shop Manager who can take full responsibility for the planning, budgeting, sales, and inventory control of all retail merchandise in the Golf Shop. The Golf Shop Manager shall have a clear understanding of club policies and rules, and will play an important role in staff mentorship, product training, and management meetings. This position will play a crucial role as the Golf Operation transitions into its new state-of-the-art golf facility this November 2026. The ideal candidate shall have employment history at high-end private clubs with knowledge in budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and fashion trends, while maintaining focus on the member and guest experience.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree preferred or,
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Or six months to one-year related experience and/or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing a yearly sales plan and budget for the retail soft goods program
• Work directly with the Assistant Professional who manages all hard goods sales
• Assist in overseeing and maintaining the budgetary cost of goods sold
• Oversee all retail sales merchandise, including monthly physical inventory counts
• Oversee sales floor plan and displays for retail merchandise
• Manage control of Golf Shop Golf Genius
• Order and merchandise all soft goods and accessories and assist with the ordering and merchandising of hard goods merchandise
• Manage merchandise returns and monitor credit invoices
• Coordinate all special sales, promotions, and trunk shows
• Tabulate monthly sales figures and work with the Director of Golf reviewing and completing monthly variance explanations
• Play a crucial role in golf tournament gift selections
• Assist in maintaining the highest level of service in the overall operation
• Mentor and train the assistant merchandiser, associate professionals, and golf shop counter personnel
• Maintain a cohesive relationship with the tennis shop retail coordinator
• Assist with golf shop counter coverage if needed

• Personal time accrues at four hours a month; six days a calendar year. PTO cannot be used within the first 90 days of employment.

• 401K - Enrollment is automatic within the first 90 days of employment. Mirasol matches dollar for dollar on the 1st % and $.50 on the dollar for 2,3,4,5, and 6%.
