Overview

Oakland Hills Country Club is seeking a professional, service-oriented Golf Shop Attendant to join our Golf Operations team. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest experience while supporting the daily operations of the golf shop and golf facilities. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

Experience Required

• Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or golf operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with POS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during club events as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Essential Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members and guests with a welcoming, professional attitude.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process merchandise sales, guest fees, and other transactions accurately.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of the golf shop, including merchandising, inventory replenishment, and cleanliness.
• Answer phone calls, respond to member inquiries, and provide information regarding club events, tournaments, and golf services.
• Coordinate with the outside services and golf professional staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
• Uphold Oakland Hills Country Club's standards of professionalism, hospitality, and member service.
