Description
As the Golf Course Superintendent reporting to the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, you will be responsible for helping oversee the maintenance and care of the golf course grounds. Your duties will include developing and implementing maintenance schedules, managing the budget for course upkeep, supervising, training, and guiding a team of associates, and ensuring the course meets all environmental standards and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Golf Course Maintenance to plan long-term maintenance strategies and improvements. Additionally, you will monitor course conditions, identify and address any issues related to turf and landscape health, irrigation and water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis and Nano Oxygen, as well as equipment maintenance.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of turf management practices and techniques, strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team, and excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise in course maintenance. Experience with TifEagle Bermudagrass and Platinum Seashore Paspalum and are nice, but not required. A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to maintaining the course at the highest standards are essential for success in this role.

- Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance, with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Assistant Golf Course Superintendent certification
- Thorough knowledge of golf course turfgrass management, irrigation systems, pest management, and cultural practices.
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing agronomic maintenance programs.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and management of operating and capital budgets.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by golf course operations.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, all applicable Florida pesticide applicator licenses.
- Florida Golf Course Management BMP Certified
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
