OverviewLandscaping Professional - St. James Bay Golf Course
- Pay:$16.00 - $21.00 per hour; annual equivalent $32,128 - $42.168 (not including overtime). Lodging may be available.
We are seeking a motivated Landscaping Professional who takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys contributing to a well maintained, environmentally focused property. Experience Required
- Proficient and safe operation of power tools, chainsaws, gas powered edgers, and related equipment.
- Willingness to work in wetland areas for brush clearing tasks.
- Experience performing the duties listed above.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly and to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel in all weather conditions.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Ability to operate small tractors is a plus but not required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create and maintain landscape beds, including planting, transplanting, trimming, and edging.
- Trim shrubs and low trees to shape, promote healthy growth, and remove damaged branches using hand tools, gas powered hedge trimmers, edgers, and chainsaws when required.
- Cut and clear brush in designated wetland areas.
- Spread mulch and pine straw throughout landscaped areas.
- Perform chemical management of weeds and pests in natural/native areas to support the course's environmental plan.
- Assist the Equipment Technician/Mechanic with basic tasks as needed.
- Support off season projects such as painting course supplies, small construction tasks, and general course improvements.
