Overview

The General Manager is the chief operating executive of the club and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic directing, financial performance, and day-to-day operations of the club. The General Manager ensures the highest standards of member service, while providing supervision for the golf course and facilities.  The General Manager oversees all departments (golf, food & beverage, outside events, maintenance, and adminstration), and fosters a positive, professional culture among the staff while building strong relationships with members. 

Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Hosptality Manager, Business Adminstariton or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience considered.

Minimum 5-7 years of advanced leadership experience in the golf industry. 

Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing budgets, P&L statements and cost controls. 

Deep understanding of golf course operations, agronomy, food & beverage, events, and private club governance. 

Leadership by example. An attitude and willingness to step in and get things done when needed

Essential Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership and execute the clubs strategic plan in alignment with the Board of Directors goals 

Oversee all aspects of club operations, including golf course maintenance, pro shop, food & beverage services, banquets & events, pool and adminstrative functions. 

Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets: monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures while protecting the long-term financial health of the club.

Drive membership growth and retention through outstanding service, innovative programming, and effective communciation with current and prospective members 

Ensure exceptional member and guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of hospitality, facilities upkeep, and personalized service. 

Lead, mentor, and develope department heads and staff; promote a cultures of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Manage vendor relationships, captial improvement projects, and compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.

Represent the club professionally in the community and maintain strong relationships with local organizations and other private clubs. 

Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, Golf Professional, Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, Controller and other key staff to deliver seamless, high quality experiences across all club amenities.
