Blackstone Country Club, located in Peoria, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Position Summary:
Blackstone Country Club is seeking a personable, professional, and service-oriented Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to club members and their guests while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. This position requires excellent customer service skills, knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced private club environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards and recipes.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to members and guests.
- Verify the age and identity of guests in accordance with applicable alcohol service laws.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar before, during, and after each shift.
- Accurately process member charges, cash, and credit card transactions through the club's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Monitor member and guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Recommend beverages, wines, cocktails, and food pairings based on member preferences.
- Assist servers with beverage orders and ensure timely delivery during dining service.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, balancing cash drawers, and securing inventory.
- Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Support club events, banquets, tournaments, weddings, and other special functions as needed.
- Work collaboratively with managers, servers, kitchen staff, and fellow bartenders to deliver exceptional member experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred; private club, upscale restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Current alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain one) as required by state or local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and carrying trays or beverage cases.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

This position operates in a professional private country club environment where exceptional hospitality and personalized member service are the highest priorities. The Bartender should consistently represent Blackstone Country Club with professionalism, courtesy, and a positive attitude.
