Description
Ed Oliver Golf Club is hiring a Banquet Server! Serves banquet function guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner while creating memorable experiences.Essential Duties:
- Prepares function sites and assures meeting rooms are set according to specifications.
- Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
- Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
- Attends and actively participates in pre-shift meetings
- communicates special requests and concerns to the department manager
- Helps to maintain clean banquet and kitchen areas
- Oversees all equipment with care.
- Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
- Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
- Incorporates safe and sanitary work practices throughout job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintains exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to employees, clients and vendors.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Weekday and Weekend Availability
- Background in bartending is preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands and walks
- Uses hands; reaches with arms and hands
- Stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches
- Talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances.
- Must be able to lift chairs, tables, ice buckets, beer cases, etc.
Certificates/Licenses:
ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
- Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
- Works well under pressure
- Maintains a patient, considerate approach
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Strives to achieve guest satisfaction
