The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations at PGA Ocean's 4. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting the daily conditioning of the golf course, irrigation system management, staff supervision, safety program compliance, and long-term agronomic planning tailored to high-quality championship standards.

Key Responsibilities - PGA Ocean's 4

• Assist in the daily management of all golf course and grounds maintenance operations.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and develop maintenance staff to ensure high performance standards.
• Maintain and help deliver consistent championship-level playing conditions throughout the course.
• Support irrigation system monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair coordination.
• Assist in the implementation of fertilization, pest control, and cultural maintenance programs.
• Oversee and support equipment, fleet, and general maintenance operations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
• Promote, enforce, and lead by example in all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with golf operations and club management to ensure an exceptional player and guest experience.
• Assist in the development and execution of both short-term and long-term agronomic planning objectives.

Experience Requirements

• Prior experience as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent or in a supervisory role within golf course maintenance operations.
• Strong knowledge of golf course agronomy, irrigation systems, and modern turfgrass management practices.
• Proven leadership experience with strong communication, organizational, and team management skills.
• A genuine passion for the game of golf and a strong commitment to achieving and maintaining exceptional playing conditions.
• Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) required

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field preferred.
