Founded in 1999 and opened in 2000, Woodfin Ridge Golf Club is the premier semi-private club in the upstate of South Carolina. Woodfin Ridge is located in Inman, South Carolina, just a short drive from both Greenville and Spartanburg. The golf club boasts an 18-hole championship golf course designed by architect Bill Bergin. The course winds through rolling hills, lush forests, and pristine lakes, offering players a challenging and picturesque experience.

Today, Woodfin Ridge Golf Club is a golf-first, family-focused community of approximately 650 members where tradition, camaraderie, and an unwavering commitment to an exceptional member and guest experience shape the culture of the Club.

Woodfin Ridge Golf Club has a rich history dating back to its opening in 2000. Bergin's expertise and vision to create a challenging and memorable layout was an overwhelming success. Since its inception, Woodfin Ridge has received numerous accolades and awards for its exceptional design and playing conditions. It features a yardage of 7107, a par of 72, a rating of 74.6, and a slope of 139.

The course has hosted prestigious events and tournaments over the years, attracting top players from around the region to test their skills. Experience Required

• Must have strong customer/guest service skills
• Experience managing tee sheets, tournament operations, handicapping, and golf shop retail operations
• Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament administration
• Solid supervisory and leadership skills, be well organized and detail-oriented, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have computer and tournament software skills and experience
• 1-3 years of golf industry experience preferred
• PGA Member or Associate working to complete membership

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary service to both members and guests of Woodfin Ridge Golf Club. Have a service-minded attitude.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Serve as an ambassador for the Club by tirelessly promoting, serving and representing Woodfin Ridge, and understanding the importance of both the golf operation and the Club as a whole.
• Assist the General Manager and Director of Golf in the management and execution of daily play and tournament schedule.
• Maintain an active role in the merchandise operation, assisting the Professional staff in terms of receipt, display, inventory control, promotion, and sales of merchandise.
• Assist in the training, supervision, and mentoring of the Outside Service Staff.
• Professionally, respectfully, and tactfully interprets, informs and enforces Club policies with members, guests, and staff.
• Maintain a high level playing ability, playing not only with the membership, but also in Carolinas PGA Section events.
• Assist the other Professional Staff in supervising and managing the total golf operation in an effective and efficient manner in the absence of the Director of Golf.
• Work closely with the Outside Service Staff; monitoring and maintaining the required pace of play, assisting in the supervision and training of both outside service staff members, and work alongside the outside service staff to ensure all areas of the operation run smoothly.
• All Golf Professionals will maintain an active classification within the PGA of America. If not already a PGA Member, they will pursue their membership.
• Perform other related duties as required.
