Position Overview:

The Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in providing an exceptional golf experience for the membership and their guests. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated, service-oriented professional to learn and develop within a respected operation that values excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with a highly supportive leadership group and be part of an environment that prioritizes professional development.  This person will be intricately involved in all areas of daily golf operations, including tournament management, member services, golf shop operations, instruction, and junior golf programming. This position reports directly to the Head Golf Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding member and guest service at all times, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere,
• Assist in managing and executing the club's comprehensive tournament program, including men's, ladies', and junior events,
• Provide individual and group instruction to players of all skill levels, including juniors and beginners,
• Support merchandising operations, including receiving, displaying, inventory control, and special orders,
• Conduct club fittings using Trackman,
• Conduct daily opening and closing procedures for the golf shop and assist with tee time and event coordination,
• Supervise and train outside operations staff to ensure seamless service on the practice facility and golf course,
• Promote the game of golf through enthusiasm, engagement, and a genuine desire to enhance the member experience,
• Play golf with members and guests to build relationships and represent the Club in a positive and professional manner,
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all club standards and policies.

Qualifications:

• PGA Member or registered PGA Associate in good standing,
• Registered PGA Associates must have completed Level 1,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for member service,
• Solid knowledge of golf operations, tournament software, Trackman, and merchandising principles,
• Proven ability to teach and promote the game to players of varying skill levels,
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment,
• Experience with golf shop management systems such as Golf Genius, Club Essential or similar platforms preferred,
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours during the golf season.
