Assistant PGA Professional

Smithfields Country Club is seeking a motivated, professional, and service-minded Assistant PGA Professional to join our golf operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a young golf professional who wants to grow within a club that is actively investing in its facilities, membership experience, programming, and long-term future. The Assistant PGA Professional will work closely with club leadership to deliver a high-quality golf experience for members and guests. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to be hands-on in all areas of the golf operation.
Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing excellent member and guest service at all times
• Assisting with daily golf operations, tee sheet management, and pace of play
• Supporting tournaments, leagues, member events, outings, and club programming
• Assisting with junior golf, clinics, lessons, and instructional programs
• Helping manage the pro shop, merchandise, inventory, and displays
• Supervising and training cart staff and outside services employees
• Enforcing club policies and maintaining a professional golf environment
• Supporting member communication and event promotion
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional golf operation
• Representing Smithfields Country Club with maturity, consistency, and pride

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be:

• A PGA Associate, PGA Member, or someone actively pursuing a career in the golf industry
• Professional in appearance, attitude, and communication
• Comfortable interacting with members, guests, staff, and ownership
• Reliable, coachable, and eager to learn
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, tournaments, and club events as needed
• Passionate about growing the game and improving the member experience

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Additional opportunities may include lesson income, tournament involvement, professional development support, and future growth within the organization.
