La Jolla Country Club is a premier private country club located above the Village of La Jolla. We offer golf, dining and other amenities to members and their guests.

The successful candidate will assist in all facets of the golf operation. This includes but is not limited to: tournament operations, greeting players, interaction on Practice Range, golf instruction, playing with Members, Member relations, and daily tasks in the Golf Shop.

Experience Required

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to consistently bring positive Team energy
• Experience with Golf Genius
• Experience with Point of Sale systems
• Knowledge of golf shop inventory process
• Ability to look at ways to improve operation and performance.
• PGA Apprentice Level 2 or higher with minimum 1 years relevant experience or Class "A" Member.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of the Club, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other staff, management, members and guests.
• Compliance with all Club Safety Regulations and participation in ongoing Safety Seminars.

• Assists 1st Assistant Golf Professional in all aspects of the golf operation.
• Assists 1st Assistant Golf Professional in maintaining pro shop inventory control system.
• Receives and inventories new merchandise.
• Assists members by providing and interpreting policies, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains handicap records.
• Maintains daily starting sheets recording rounds of golf.
• Charges green fees, carts, and related charges.
• Assists 1st Assistant Golf Professional with tournament management, assisting with each event.
• Gives golf lessons to members and their guests as directed by the Head Professional and 1st Assistant Golf Professional.
• Regularly participates with the operation of Club's junior golf instruction program.
• Plays golf with membership a minimum of once per month. Usually bi-weekly.
• Other duties as assigned.
