Description

• Assist in the daily maintenance and management of all golf course and landscape areas.
• Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to established standards.
• Schedule and assign daily tasks to crew members and monitor work quality.
• Perform and oversee mowing, trimming, edging, bunker maintenance, and course setup operations.
• Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with operating and calibration of irrigation systems; identify and repair irrigation deficiencies.
• Monitor turf health and identify pest, disease, weed, and moisture issues.
• Assist with record keeping related to chemical applications, irrigation, labor, and equipment usage.
• Participate in course improvement projects, including drainage, construction, and renovation work.
• Ensure maintenance equipment is operated safely and properly.
• Serve in a leadership role during the absence of the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• Assist with storm or emergency response efforts as needed.

• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
• Previous golf course maintenance experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of warm-season management practices required.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, fertilizer programs, and pesticide applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a state pesticide applicator license.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
